West Highland Way

The Scottish Highlands are of a mysterious and rugged beauty.

The West Highland Way is an approx. 150 kilometre long walking trek via B&B that introduces you to the fascinating mountain landscape. You start just outside Glasgow and walk along the immensely large Loch Lomond, along the foot of the Ben Lomond. Then through the beautiful Glen Falloch and further via Tyndrum to Rannoch Moor. Here you follow the centuries-old Drove Road across this vast plateau, with views of mountains all around.

Via the Kingshouse Hotel, completely renovated in 2017, you climb the Devil's Staircase with the impressive peaks of the Buachaille Etive Mòr massif behind you. Kinlochleven is your last overnight stay before the trek ends at the foot of the Ben Nevis in Fort William. The Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in Great Britain and can optionally be climbed on an extra day.

You reach the official end of the WHW (West Highland Way) in the centre of Fort William at the statue of Sair Feet!
