Role at GWT: General Manager, private life: married to Khun Add, father of adult twins. Ernst-Otto and Add are the foundation of Green Wood Travel, together they started Green Wood Travel in the early 1990s, the first travel agency in Southeast Asia for tailor-made trips. Ernst is one of the most experienced travellers of the expanding staff, he still visits many of the islands, beach locations and hotels on offer himself. Travel has changed, people have long since stopped booking a complete group trip, but increasingly do and discover things themselves. Ernst-Otto continuously responds to this with Green Wood. With adequate modern insurance for travellers, with contemporary day trips and compact but complete tours, for couples or families, it doesn't matter. He is also the driving force behind sustainable innovations that are still unusual in Thailand, such as installing solar panels on the roof of the office, so that Green Wood Travel now operates climate-neutrally. Under Ernst-Otto's leadership, the company goes out every year to plant trees.
