Hi, I'm Sietske, the face behind Meiden in de Bergen. You might have already guessed it, I'm crazy about the mountains! My passion started at a young age and I prefer to be out and about as often as possible, discovering beautiful spots and getting others enthusiastic about joining me :-). I think it's really great to discover this beautiful mountain world together with other women and let them experience the power of the mountains!
We now live in a society where we're constantly online, receiving stimuli and 'having to' achieve goals. My mission is to use Meiden in de Bergen to encourage women to discover the mountains together and connect with nature. A hut-to-hut tour, micro-adventure or retreat in the mountains is the ideal way to escape your familiar surroundings and the daily hustle for a while. You come to rest mentally and physically, while being nicely active in a beautiful environment! With the mountain tours of Meiden in de Bergen, you go on a mountain adventure together with like-minded women. We use our natural engine and head out on foot into nature in Europe so as to keep our footprint as small as possible. This is also the reason why all the destinations we go to are reachable by public transport.

Beginner BergMeid hut-to-hut tour Raurisertal
Have you been dreaming for a while of a multi-day hut-to-hut tour through the mountains, but it's never happened yet? Walking over cart tracks through alpine meadows, primeval forests, past waterfalls and babbling streams. Then this is the hut-to-hut tour for you! The hut-to-hut tour for beginners through the Raurisertal is especially for those who want to make a multi-day tour through the mountains for the first time. We walk for 4 days through primeval forests and over alpine meadows with the ringing of cowbells in the background, staying overnight in mountain and alpine huts. Will you come along on the adventure?!
Sporty BergMeid hut-to-hut tour
Can you also enjoy those panoramas and vistas in the mountains? In the Rätikon mountains you feel like you're on the set of Lord of the Rings. Vistas, rugged mountain peaks and slopes full of flowers are part of our daily view. On this hut-to-hut tour, we travel together for 4 days from mountain hut to mountain hut through a beautiful setting where the view looks just slightly different around every corner! BergMeid retreat
No digital stimuli for a while, clear your head and enjoy nature in the middle of the mountains. Without the heavy backpack you'd normally lug from mountain hut to mountain hut. The BergMeid Retreat week actually says enough in itself. This week we live from, with and in nature and adopt the rhythm of 'life in the mountains'. Escaping the rat race, not being continuously preoccupied with time but living in the here and now. Do you want to really experience the mountains in a different way? During this BergMeid retreat we'll discover and experience the mountains in the Raurisertal for 6 days from our own alpine hut. Treat yourself to some adventure and quality time!?
Wintry BergMeid snowshoe tour Rätikon
The wintry mountain landscape has something magical about it. The crunching of fresh snow underfoot, the falling of snowflakes from conifers. A serene calm descends over the otherwise rugged mountain nature. Do you want to experience the mountains in winter in a completely different way than from the pistes? Or perhaps you're not a skier at all, but it seems really great to experience the mountains in winter? On this tour we'll go snowshoeing for 5 days in Austria as a true Wintry BergMeid!
