Because of the flying involved, a long-haul trip to Argentina or Chile seems to carry the label "not sustainable". Yet, done the right way, such a trip can be very sustainable indeed!
Sustainability, after all, is so much more than CO2 emissions alone. In Argentina and Chile, tourism contributes strongly to nature conservation and biodiversity. The many national parks earn income from visitors and can therefore go on building protection, expanding knowledge, and so on.
Tourism also offers an important cultural and social exchange with local people. This leads to the preservation and strengthening of local economic development and employment. If you do not travel to a developing country, the negative effect on people and the environment is many times greater than flying to that destination.
It is our sincere aim to run our business and organise our trips as sustainably as possible. We have been doing so since 2008, the year we were founded. Wherever we can, we work with local partners, guides and communities. We have also been a member of the well-known NGO Travelife since 2020.
