My love for the blue cruise began in 1992 when I worked for a leading travel organisation specialised in sailing cruises along the south-west coast of Turkey.
Since that time I have worked in this specific sector of the travel industry, and from 2010 I have had my own company with my own ships, which have Bodrum — the Saint Tropez of Turkey — as their home port.
Unique experience
That love has always remained and turned into a passion that gives me tremendous pleasure in life. My mission is therefore to let everyone in the Netherlands experience this unique form of holidaymaking. I find a blue cruise such a unique experience, one that everyone should have had at least once in their life. And it's the crowning glory of my work when people come back completely happy.
Sailing cruise, or a luxury sailing holiday
A blue cruise (I also call it a sailing cruise or luxury sailing holiday) has all the elements that I myself find enormously enjoyable. I mean, first of all, the freedom you experience when you're out in nature and simply go wherever the wind takes you. But certainly also the relaxed way of travelling around. Because you're in a new place every day, and you don't have to do anything for it yourself. You really come to rest on this trip. The breathtakingly beautiful spots and tiny harbours you pass are far from all the touristy hustle and bustle, and you taste the real culture.
A swim around the boat
Every morning before breakfast I dive off the boat for a lovely swim in the beautiful bays. But I also step ashore in the fishing harbours to potter around a farmers' market in search of new herbs to cook with at home.

The Comfort Blue Cruise in Turkey, which I've specially developed in recent years, is all about enjoying sun, sea, swimming, sailing, good food, resting, soaking up culture and pleasant togetherness.
A floating boutique hotel
You experience all this interspersed with azure-blue sea, emerald-green mountains and grey-white rocks, sailing on a beautiful classic mahogany luxury sailing yacht with a very hospitable and knowledgeable captain at the helm.

Besides all the improvements I've made, I'm also incredibly proud that my company is the winner of the Blue Voyage Cuisine Cooking Competition. Because that's the ultimate proof that our service and culinary standards are the very best of all blue cruise gulets.
Our crew does all the work
A cook, steward and sailor stand by his side to pamper you and take care of everything for the whole week. There's room for a maximum of twelve guests. You sleep on board and have your own luxury cabin with private bathroom, including toilet, shower, sink, towels, shampoo and so on. In short, a floating boutique hotel with big sails on it.
Recharge your batteries and escape the hustle and bustle
I'd love to pass on my passion to everyone in the Netherlands, because I know for certain that this holiday will bring so much joy, satisfaction and peace. Something that's much needed in our hectic society.
Celebrating a milestone
I've also heard from so many guests, "ooh, if only I'd known this sooner!" They were genuinely sorry that they hadn't known about our existence earlier. It would, for example, have been the perfect trip to celebrate their wedding anniversary together with family… Have you missed that chance too? Then seize the very next milestone to do it after all.
Everyone can join
Of course, a milestone or anniversary celebration isn't the only reason to go on this sailing holiday, and I don't set any conditions on who comes along. Your age doesn't matter either. Anyone who wants to go off the beaten track on a new adventure is welcome on board. If you book a separate cabin instead of a private boat, I'll find a suitable group for you.
