BergBeleving
Adventurous hiking treks in summer and winter

BergBeleving was founded by Werrie and Rosalinde, two passionate mountain sports enthusiasts. We love being active outdoors: walking, hiking with a tent, climbing mountains, touring on snowshoes, making fires and enjoying the surroundings around us. We love sharing this with good company!
At BergBeleving, experiencing new adventures is central. We travel to a wide variety of areas, mainly in Europe, to keep our ecological footprint as small as possible. We find the Alps beautiful, but we also love exploring areas unknown to us, such as the Pirin mountains in Bulgaria or the far north of Scandinavia (in search of the northern lights!).
For us, travelling begins with inspiration; a good idea that gives you the urge to discover something new. That gives us energy and makes us enthusiastic. You'll find that enthusiasm reflected in our trips, because we only offer trips to places we want to go ourselves!
Do you have a good idea yourself and/or already have a group you want to travel with? We can also provide the knowledge and expertise for tailor-made trips. We'll think along with your travel plan and work it out further for your situation.
Some of our trips:
Snowshoe hut trek in the Kleinwalsertal (Austria) ***
We make a four-day trek along two mountain huts, including instruction on avalanches and snowshoe walking technique. Werrie knows the area like the back of his hand, as he took his IML exam in the Allgäu. The mountain huts are comfortable and known for their good traditional cuisine.
Snowshoe hut trek along the Kungsleden (Swedish Lapland) ****
For 7 days we follow the Kungsleden, a journey through the wilderness, but in the evenings we enjoy the comfort and conviviality of being together indoors, sometimes in luxury mountain stations, usually in self-catering huts. There's a good chance we'll see the northern lights!
Tent trek via the High Highland Way (Scotland) *****
Ultimate freedom; with a tent on your back you can stop wherever you like. We loosely follow the High Highland Way, the taller sibling of the well-known West Highland Way. Elevation change guaranteed, and beautiful wild camping spots too!
Trek along mountain huts in Schladming/Dachstein (Austria) ****
A challenging trek in a rugged part of the Alps. Fear of heights is not an option. We make day trips averaging 6 hours and sleep in mountain huts. In the middle we have a rest day or a peak day; the choice is yours.
