A boat trip on the mighty Chobe river, then a safari by jeep: a vast park where you can meet many animals and enjoy a fine safari experience.
The first national park we visit is Chobe, and it began with a boat trip on the mighty Chobe river. The water was high, so a great deal was flooded, but that also let us come closer to the bank.
Among the many water lilies and other water plants you now and then see the head of a hippo or a crocodile come up. Beautiful birds linger here too.
Along the bank we saw several kinds of kingfisher, bee-eaters, a buffalo standing and drinking, and a whole group of elephants drinking and playing.
The next morning we took a safari tour through the park by jeep, and again met a great variety of animals. Baboons at play, giraffes, waterbuck, impala, zebra, and lions further out in the field.
