Bosnia and Herzegovina (Bosnian/Croatian: Bosna i Hercegovina, Serbian: Босна и Херцеговина) is a federal republic in south-eastern Europe, located in the western Balkans. Under the Dayton Agreement, the country is divided into two entities: the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Federacija Bosne i Hercegovine) and the sub-republic of Republika Srpska. It consists of the regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The country is almost entirely landlocked, except at the coastal town of Neum, where there is about 24 km of coastline on the Adriatic Sea. Bosnia and Herzegovina has 3,502,550 (2018) inhabitants and covers an area of 51,209 km².
