The Canary Islands are a Spanish archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Morocco. Each of the seven main islands has its own character: Tenerife with Mount Teide, the highest peak in Spain; the volcanic landscapes of Lanzarote; the dunes of Fuerteventura; and green hiking islands such as La Palma and La Gomera. Thanks to the mild climate you can go all year round, and there are direct flights from the Netherlands and Belgium.
