About this destination
The Comoros are an island nation in the Indian Ocean, between Mozambique and Madagascar. Grande Comore is dominated by the active Karthala volcano, Mohéli has a marine park where sea turtles nest on the beaches, and Anjouan is green and mountainous. The islands are known for vanilla, cloves and ylang-ylang. Tourism is small-scale, which makes a trip authentic but also calls for good preparation.
