About this destination
Guinea lies on the Atlantic coast of West Africa. The interior is its finest part: the Fouta Djallon highlands with waterfalls, river valleys and Fula villages, and in the south-east the Nimba Mountains, a World Heritage Site. The Niger River also rises in Guinea. Off the coast of the capital, Conakry, lie the Îles de Los. Tourist facilities are limited; a trip here calls for good preparation.
