Kosovo (Albanian: Kosovë, Kosova; Serbian: Косово, Kosovo) is a partially recognised country in Southeast Europe, bordering Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia and Serbia. The capital is Pristina, which is also the economic and cultural centre. According to the 2011 census, Kosovo has a population of 1,739,825 inhabitants, made up of approximately 94% ethnic Albanians, 3.3% Serbs and 2.7% other minorities. According to Serbia, Kosovo is part of Serbia under the name Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija (Serbian: Аутономна Покрајина Косово и Метохија, Autonomna Pokrajina Kosovo i Metohija).
