About this destination

Poland (Polish: Polska), officially the Republic of Poland (Polish: Rzeczpospolita Polska), is a country in Central Europe. In the west it is bordered by Germany (Oder-Neisse line), in the south by the Czech Republic and Slovakia, in the east by Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine, and in the north by the Baltic Sea and the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad. Most historians place the founding of a Polish state in 966, when Mieszko I, ruler over a territory more or less corresponding to present-day Poland, converted to Christianity.
