Aruba

About this destination

Aruba is a country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, located on the South American continental shelf in the Caribbean Sea, 23 kilometres north of the Paraguaná peninsula of the Venezuelan state of Falcón. It belongs to the ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao) of the Lesser Antilles. Aruba has a population of 115,120 (2017) inhabitants and, with an area of 180 km², is roughly the same size as the Dutch Wadden island of Texel.
