About this destination

The French Southern and Antarctic Lands consist of remote island groups such as Kerguelen, Crozet, and Amsterdam and Saint-Paul, plus a few small islands around Madagascar. There are no permanent residents, only scientists and staff at research stations. The sub-Antarctic islands are rich in penguins, elephant seals and albatrosses. A visit is only possible aboard the supply ship from Réunion, which takes a small number of passengers.
