Guam (Chamorro: Guåhan) is an Oceanic island, part of the Micronesia region. The island forms a separate territory of the United States and is not independent. The capital is Hagåtña. Guam is located in the Pacific Ocean north of the Caroline Islands and south of the Northern Mariana Islands. It is the southernmost island of the Marianas.
