About this destination

The British Indian Ocean Territory consists of the Chagos Archipelago, halfway between Africa and Indonesia. The largest island, Diego Garcia, is a military base; the remaining islands are uninhabited and together form one of the largest marine reserves in the world. There is no tourism there.
